Matthew brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the firm. Matthew has worked in criminal law for the past six years, being involved in a number of high profile cases. He was recognized as a rising star in criminal law in the Doyle’s Guide 2024.

Matthew grew up in Brisbane and completed his schooling at St Joseph’s College Gregory Terrace, before moving to Townsville to complete his studies at James Cook University. Matthew’s time in North Queensland assisted him in broadening his cultural awareness. Matthew commenced legal practice in 2019 and was admitted as a Legal Practitioner in 2021 in the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Matthew regularly appears before the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts across Queensland on all types of criminal matters, including but not limited to sentences, trial and bail applications.  

He has experience in a wide range of matters from the most serious offences, like drug trafficking and murder, to the more minor offences, such as traffic offences. He has also represented his clients in domestic violence applications (acting for the aggrieved or respondent).

Matthew has a passion for helping clients achieve exceptional results in the criminal justice system no matter the circumstance.
